The Society was formed in 1798 and organises the annual Nairn Show. The show is the highlight of the Society calendar, and is a popular attraction for both residents of Nairnshire and surrounding districts, and tourists alike.
The show is usually held on the last Saturday in July, and runs from 9am to 5pm. It typically features a range of trade stands, livestock competitions, a craft fair, a food fair and numerous other attractions. The show day is completed by a marquee dance in the evening.
The Nairn Show for 2010 will be held on Saturday 31st of July, and for a third year running, the show will be located at Kinnudie Farm, Auldearn. This showfield is being made available by the kind permission of Mr J Philip.
