The Society was formed in 1798 and organises the annual Nairn Show. The show is the highlight of the Society calendar, and is a popular attraction for both residents of Nairnshire and surrounding districts, and tourists alike.
The show is usually held on the last Saturday in July and begins at 9am. It typically features a range of trade stands, livestock competitions, a craft fair, a food fair and numerous other attractions. The show day is completed by a marquee dance in the evening.
The Nairn Show for 2009 will be held on the 1st of August, and for a second year running, the show will be held at Kinnudie Farm, Auldearn. This showfield is being made available by the kind permission of Mr J Philip.
The entrance fees are £10 for adults, £5 for concessions, and free entry for children (must be accompanied by an adult).
Car parking, £5 per car. Plenty of car parking available.
