The Nairn Show for 2015 will be held on Saturday 1st August at Kinnudie Farm, Auldearn, 1 mile East of Nairn, just off the A96. The showfield is once again made available by the kind permission of The Philip Family.
The entrance fees will be as follows:
Following the show you may wish to attend The Opening Ceremony for the World Orienteering Championships (see www.scottish6days.com/2015 and www.woc2015.org) which will also be staged on Saturday 01 August from 4.45 pm to 5.30 pm on Nairn Links near the bandstand. The organisers cannot promise Tunnock’s Tea Cakes or Scottie Dogs but there will be a pipe band and a parade of athletes from the many nations taking part. Following short speeches (including Provost Laurie Fraser if he can cycle there in time) the Sprint Relay Championships will start at 6 p.m. with fast and furious racing around the streets, parks and sea front. Everyone is welcome to attend – event parking will be in the old Farmers’s Showfield on Inverness Road with overflow parking by the riverside and local schools if required. The Nairnshire Farming Society will also be delighted to welcome members of the Orienteering Community to the Nairn Show earlier in the day.
